The Center for Nonprofit Advancement’s Learning and Leadership Institute offers comprehensive workshops for the greater Washington area nonprofit community taught by the region's top professionals. Courses are available for nonprofit professionals on a variety of levels (basic, intermediate and advanced) and on a range of topics (including financial management, fundraising, volunteer management and human resources). How about being new to the executive role, too? This four-part series is tailored specifically for new executive directors. Each session will focus on essential skills and strategies to successfully meet the challenges of executive leadership in today's fast-paced nonprofit sector. Project LEAPProject LEAP, which stands for Leaders Emerging through Ability and Potential, offers individuals with three or more years of professional experience in the nonprofit sector the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills. Executive directors are not eligible, but must approve their staff members' participation in the series. CEO Leadership SeriesThe CEO Leadership Series offers veteran executive directors the opportunity to identify and reflect their leadership style. The voyage of self-discovery and building a new peer-to-peer network makes this a most rewarding and energizing opportunity.
